GUIDE TO AUTHORS
Man in India, a quarterly peer-reviewed journal considers original writings in the forms of broad-based papers, review articles, notes & communications on biological & Social Cultural anthropology, archaeology, linguistics & folk –culture from all social science disciplines. Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the following guidelines.
Manuscripts should words be typed in single space on A4 paper & it must be accompanied by an abstract of 250-300 along with 5-7 keywords at the end of the abstract.
It is to be noted that soft copy of the paper in ms word is to be send by email contributors are requested to type there official designations affiliations and addresses with email id at the foot of the first page of the manuscript. i.e. on title page.
The authors are solely responsible for the views expressed in there concerned papers and man in india would not necessarily be liable for any interpretation made therein.
Tables, Line diagrams & Graphs: These should be inserted in the appropriate position in the paper. The tables etc. must be utilised only in focusing the essential data. The tables figures should be provided with titles or caption at the top of the tables & numbered accordingly.
References: References should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order, and they should include only the works referred to in the text. These should be cited in the following order:
(a) In-text references should be written as (Malinowski, 1922) or (Malinowski,1992,16) in case of quoting from the original text.
(b) Quoted text should be used within single(“) or double (“”) inverted commas for a few words or sentences respectively. Quoted paragraphs should have double space gap at its top and bottom.
(c) The following guidelines may help in citing reference in respect of books, edited volumes & periodicals:
Article in Journal:

Article in Edited Book:

Website: it should be referred along with author/topic, (year & date of access) followed by http:// full address.
Author will remain responsible for the information provided in the references.
Please follow this style sheet very strictly to help maintain a particular pattern in the journal.
Footnotes: Should not be used. In exceptional cases these should be given at the end of the paper as END notes with consecutive superscript numbers pointing out their exact location in the text.
Editing: All types of papers are subject to editing & double-blind review. Please do not send
any such article which has already been sent to some other journals for consideration or published earlier. Please send us a declaration in this regard in the cover-letter.
